My New Gym Tote

 Hey Guys,

Over the last few months I have been trying out the Gym Tote whilst attending the gym and checking out how it serves as a changing bag.

The Gym Tote as a gym bag is an amazingly functional and stylish bag.  I seriously could have used a bag like this studying to be a PE teacher 10 years ago!  The Gym Tote looks stylish enough to wear and complete your work outfit or make you look sleek attending the gym.  There are many hidden, spacious pockets in the Gym Tote.  Lots of space for runners, toiletries , towels, change of clothes and all your other gym essentials like water, mobile and keys.

I have used this gym bag as a weekend bag and it served me great.  The space this bag provides you, really needs to be seen to be believed.  I found this bag to be a very cleverly manufactured product. They knew what women want and they created it. I have not seen many Gym Totes in Ireland yet but it is certainly a bag that I see hotel gyms stocking and members/tourists snapping up.  Girls, these bags just make sense.

As a mother I decided to test it as a stylish changing bag.  I am out and about with the kids more than in the gym so it was a no brainer. I know there are so many changing bags on the market but the Gym Tote matches my style so I enjoyed having it on my arm whilst out and about with the girls.  I took the bag with me on various outings to see if it was a functional mummy bag.  I found there was space for nappies, wipes, spare clothes, snacks and water bottles as well as my own mummy essentials. I especially liked it on swimming trips with my ladies.  With 3 girls swimming we have so much stuff, towels, clothes etc.  It all fitted in and looked a lot better than my old Nike gym bag!!

Stand out features - The colour

What I Love - The gold chunky zips

Whats stylish - The Logo, not one you forget.

Gone are the days of the massive gym bag, Gym bag envy is here, thanks Gym Tote.

Lottie Doll Review

Hey Guys,

Today I am reviewing a beautiful Irish made, age appropriate doll. I came across this doll recently and also saw it briefly on The Late Late Toy Show. I want to talk about it because my girls loved playing with their Lottie Dolls, click here to check them out; http://www.lottie.com/  They enjoyed how adorable they are and also the attention to detail of each Lottie.  They have had hours of fun with their Lottie's. Farrah received the Light House Lottie Doll;  http://eu.lottie.com/products/lighthouse-keeper-lottie-doll

Georgia received the Pirate Queen Lottie Doll; http://eu.lottie.com/products/pirate-queen-lottie-doll . The Lottie doll is designed and developed in Donegal.    IRISH MADE!!

Lottie is a positive doll, she is age appropriate, wears no make up, no jewellery, no high heels and does not have boobs.  She is designed for children aged 3-9 years.  Lottie loves to dress up in age appropriate clothes, no crop tops here.

As well as dressing up Lottie loves enjoying the outdoors. She likes getting muddy and enjoying life to the full, she sounds pretty much like my own ladies!! I love that Lottie Doll encourages girls to enjoy their childhood. The message behind the Lottie Doll is to be bold, be brave, be you.

The girls captivated by Lottie

What I personally loved about the dolls due to the girls enjoyment of them was the accessories, Lottie's hair and the fact she can stand on her own two feet with shoes on.

I was impressed by the accessories each doll came with, the attention to detail was amazing.  The additional accessory packs are lovely also. My girls loved putting on Lottie's various outfits to how they imagined she was going to spend her day.

Georgia's Pirate Lottie accessory pack included a pirate chest of silver coins.  She adored this. Taking the money in and out and counting the money with Lottie.  The quality of the items was very good. I have to say I really enjoy playing with Lottie with the girls on the floor. I also love admiring the presentation box she comes in, its not packaging you throw away.  Lottie is put back in the colourful box with her bits and pieces after we have finished playing. She opens a door to hours of fun and imagination and we love our Lottie's.

Lottie's hair is soft and doesn't tangle and knot like other dolls. It remains soft and silky.  This is a change from our other dolls who's hair is gone matte from the girls playing with it.

Lottie can stand on her own two feet with shoes on.  This was great for Farrah and Georgia when they were doing role plays with their new Lottie dolls on the table or floor.

Lottie Doll has captivated my children.  They play with them indoors and outdoors.  Lottie fits in perfectly to everyday life.  Lottie has provided many hours of fun, play and laughter.

There are currently 12 dolls in the range, one more fabulous than the other.  I am looking forward to adding to our collection.

Want a Safe and Comfortable Sleep for your Baby?

Recently I received a great parcel in the post from Slumbersac.  I was gifted a baby sleeping bag for Georgia aged 20months.  The first thing I and my little girl noticed was how gorgeous and cute it was.  Georgia was given the Pink Fairy design sleeping bag and she just loved it.  The shooting star and fairy illustrations really attracts the eye and is very pleasing to look at in the girls bedroom.  It certainly matches the pink explosion we have going on at present! From looking at the website http://slumbersac.ie/category-slumbersac.html there are many great boy and girl designs for the sleeping bags to pick from.  What I love is that there are gender neutral designs also.  Well done Slumbersac!

I found Slumbersac baby sleeping bag great to ensure that my baby remained at a constant temperature all night.  I felt confident that no matter how much she moved during the night, she remained covered evenly across her body. Slumbersac sleeping bags also eliminate the need for any other top covers. This ensures safety. Check out Slumbersac sleep safety guidelines here; http://www.slumbersac.co.uk/sleep-safety.  Knowing that Georgia will be warm, safe and comfortable helps to take the worry out of sleep times. This is great for making sure Mum and Dad get that well deserved all night sleep too!

I found the sleeping bag material to be of exceptional quality. The Shell of the sleeping bag is 100% cotton.  The Lining is 100% cotton and the filling is 100% polyester. This means that it is breathability and comfortable. The filling is made from soft polyester fleece to prevent allergies and movement of the materials within the bag.
The sleeping bags are available in four different sizes.  (0 - 3 months, 0 - 6 months, 6 - 18 months, and 12 - 36 months). Georgia was gifted the 12-36 months and it is just perfect, she has room to grow also.  It is a great product and value for money as it lasts for two years. Check out the size guide here; http://www.slumbersac.co.uk/sizes

There are four weights to pick from to suit your home and climate; (light, summer, standard, and winter).  Check out their tog ratings for more information about sleeping bag weights. I received the 2.5 tog and it is warm and cosy for Georgia in the current Irish weather.

We received the centre zip sleeping bag and it is easy to get a baby/toddler in and out from.

I have washed this product numerous times and it came out perfect from each wash.  It is a durable product.  Colour stayed bright and vibrant.  It is machine washable and can be tumble dried also.

I would certainly recommend this product to parents. In my experience with conventional bedding, babies tend to get too cold or too warm. This is because as a baby wriggles about, his sheets and blankets no longer cover him evenly. A Slumbersac baby sleeping bag eliminates this problem.  I find this product keeps baby safe and therefore mummy and baby are happy, cosy and comfortable.
I have found that the Slumbersac sleeping bag has helped Georgia settle when I use it as part of the bedtime routine. I just put her into her sleep sack half an hour or so before bed time, and she'll be calm and ready to sleep when I turn on her lullabies and put her down in her cot. She now receives her bedtime story while she gets cosy and warm in her Slumbersac sleeping bag.

Quality sleep is vital for ones health and well being at any age. I am all for any product that helps my toddler sleep, encourages her to thrive and lets Mum and Dad sleep also!

Although I was gifted this product free of charge; all opinions are my own.

      Bepanthen Review

About a month ago we were very fortunate to receive a wonderful package in the post from the lovely people at BAYER makers of Bepanthen to review. Not only did we enjoy the products but we also found the website very helpful; packed with Baby Skin Care and Nappy Care information, tips and links.

Timing of the products however was perfect:

For Kerri the Bepanthen Baby Moisturiser  has been the star of the summer.

With the weather just begining to improve we struck for the beach on many an occasion. Anyone with kids will know that getting stuck down into the sand, digging the "biggest hole ever", and becoming covered from head to toe in layers of wet on dry sand is all part of the days fun. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the beach. However Seán seemed to be constantly covered in sand.

We live near the beach, so one sits on a towel in the car and with the quick trip home you come in with your wet togs and jump straight into the shower. This is where I really found Bepanthan was a life saver. Each day I washed the sand off. I know its not good to over bath children, especially children with dry skin as Seán does (very slightly on his arms). However what was I to do? It was a comforting reassurance that a very suited moisturiser was going to be applied within minutes. Bepanthen Baby Moisturiser is free from alcohol, colours, fragrances, parabens and other preservatives, lanolin or paraffin and is suitable from birth.

The packaging is very user friendly and is a great size tube (pictured far right above). It goes on as a light white lotion and soaks into the skin within minutes. By bed time I could feel Sean's skin rehydrated and ready for another day at the beach. I used it each evening after his bath or shower so a couple of times a week and after a month I can see such an improvement in his skin. I love that there is no smell form it, and even Seán commented that it not sticky! I rub it on in circular motions and its a real hit. Back in the nappy days Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment was a God Send however I had never tried the Bepanthen Baby Moisturiser. After using it for a month, I will certainly continue to use it and  I would highly recommend it for children of all ages.

      For Orla:

I have loved trying out the Bepanthen range. I used the Bepanthen Moisturiser on both Farrah and Georgia after their baths, it contains Provitamin B5 and you can notice the difference this unique ingredient makes to your child's skin. The girls skin looked and felt hydrated. Their skin was soft and it was not a heavy moisturiser, I could see that their skin looked fresh and could breathe after application.
Bepanthen recently launched their 100g Nappy Care Ointment in a new plastic pack with a flip top. For me this is a major improvement by Bayer, makers of Bepanthen. The original packaging annoyed me. You would have to screw off the lid and roll up the packaging as time went on to get cream out which resulted in it cracking and cream coming out from all angles, usually all over my changing bag. With changing a toddlers nappy and all the wriggling that goes with it, you just don't have the patience for a screw top lid, give me flip lid any day!Well this problem is now a thing of the past. The new plastic packaging and new flip lid is clean and easy to use! It is 100% better for me due to this. Now I would certainly recommend this product. Georgia still gets nappy rash when she is teething. We have a long time of teething left as at 18 months she only has 8 teeth. Recently she cut a tooth and had runny nappies resulting in nappy rash. I used Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment and it cleared it right up. Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment is gentle and can be used everyday to prevent the causes of nappy rash. It contains lanolin and Provitamin B5 resulting in a long lasting breathable transparent layer, therefore I would certainly recommend applying it daily especially when teething strikes.

Thanks for reading! Have you tried Bepanthen products? Did you find them good? We would love to hear from you?

      Kerri & Orla Xxx
